The Ultimate Green Smoothie

The Ultimate Green Smoothie

I usually always start my day with either a green juice or green smoothie depending on how hungry I am or how i am feeling, to the point that it feels weird getting up without one. Smoothies retain all the fibre of the greens and fruit, rather than removing it like juice does. The fibre is important for ongoing cleansing by sweaping out toxins on a regular basis, helping to keep your body and digestive tract clean. Smoothies can also keep you full for hours, so you tend to eat less heavier things throughout the day. Sometimes however, its great to give your digesetive system a rest which is where juicing comes in. It gives you a direct source of chlorophyll-rich water that doesn’t require digestion. It is also a rapid way of hydrating the body and flooding it with readily available enzymes, minerals, vitamins, and potent phytonutrients. I personally think its great to alternative between the two.

Drinking this smoothie, is an awesome way to incorporate large amounts of delicious greens into your diet. Greens have more valuable nutrients than any other food group on the planet. This is my particular favourite green smoothie recipe, but feel free to mix it up a bit, depending on what you have available, try be as fresh, local and seasonable as possible. A glass of this will make you feel incredible and keep you going for hours, so much more filling and satisyfying than the typical cereal or toast for breakfast. Try it out, it will keep you full, happy, energetic, glowing and ALIVE!
